The Board of Trustees of a mutual fund is responsible for managing service provider relationships. Service providers include:

  • Investment Advisor: Manages fund assets

  • Custodian: Holds fund assets

  • Transfer Agent: Services shareholders

  • Fund Accountant: Calculates the net asset value (NAV) of the fund

  • Fund Administrator: Provides a broad range of activities that include: monitoring post-trade compliance; preparing financial statements; preparing tax filings; and drafting and filing regulatory forms and documents

  • Chief Compliance Officer: Oversees compliance with Federal Securities Laws
  • Auditor: Reviews financial statements and tax filings

  • Distributor: Reviews fund sales materials and underwrites/distributes the fund
